Central Washington Agricultural Museum

Schedule of Events 2015



Tuesday (all year around): Volunteers & Members meet at the museum to work on whatever needs to be done. Volunteers are needed for everything imaginable. Every skill at any level can be utilized. Everyone is encouraged to attend & be a part of the “Tuesday Crew”.  The volunteers & members meet 8 am-3 pm.  Coffee break is at 10 am – join the “Tuesday Crew” for coffee & bring a “Brown Bag” lunch & join them for lunch.


◊Board meetings are the second Tuesday of each month @ 8 am.   All CWAM members are welcome to attend

◊Accession Committee Meetings are on an as needed basis depending on donation requests.

◊Women’s Auxiliary Meetings:

Fourth Wednesday of the month @ 11 am - 2 pm for a shared “Potluck”.  All women are welcome to attend. “New comers” are encouraged to attend.

◊CWAM Educational Committee Meetings:

 Anyone interested in education for Tours contact: Paul Strater – 509-457-8735

◊Grange Library Meetings: First Friday of the month @ 1:00 pm.  Grange members meet in the meeting room in the Visitor’s Center.

◊Central Washington Travel Club:

 Second Saturday of the month. Visitor’s Meeting Room 11 am – 2 pm.  (November through April)  For more information contact Dick LaFortune @ 509-972-2342

CWAM Educational Programs & Field Trips for 3rd & 4th grade students: 

School Educational Tours & Field trips are offered each Thursday, & Friday, April  through June.  There is a 9:30 am & a 12:30 pm session for each Thursday & Friday as listed.   You must complete an application form & reserve you requested School Educational Tour or Field Trip date in advance.  Please see  Educational  pages for more information.

BLACKSMITH SHOP  -  A real working shop (kids of all ages love seeing blacksmiths forge the tools & equipment of days gone by)

 KIDDIE TRAIN RIDES -  A favorite for kids as they ride around our vintage town

CIVIL WAR REENACTMENT – Largest in WA. State (come watch the North & South face off in battles each day!  Walk through their camps during the day)

 CWAM is at Central Washington State Fair Again This Year

 See us at State Fair Park outside the Agricultural Building.  We will be showing videos, have demonstrations, and information about Central Washington Agricultural Museum.   Join us for some good relaxation time.

Museum Buildings are closed November through March. 

The rest of the Museum is still open to the public for walking & viewing from Dawn until Dusk. Volunteers continue to meet every Tuesday from 8 am - 3 pm in the Meeting Room of the Visitor’s Center.
