◊WEEKLY MEETINGS


Tuesday (all year around): Volunteers & Members meet at the museum to work on whatever needs to be done. Volunteers are needed for everything imaginable. Every skill at any level can be utilized. Everyone is encouraged to attend & be a part of the “Tuesday Crew”.  The volunteers & members meet 8 am-3 pm.  Coffee break is at 10 am – join the “Tuesday Crew” for coffee & bring a “Brown Bag” lunch & join them for lunch.

◊MONTHLY MEETINGS


◊Board meetings are the second Tuesday of each month @ 8 am.   All CWAM members are welcome to attend

◊Accession Committee Meetings are on an as needed basis depending on donation requests.

◊Women’s Auxiliary Meetings:

Fourth Wednesday of the month @ 11 am - 2 pm for a shared “Potluck”.  All women are welcome to attend. “New comers” are encouraged to attend.

◊CWAM Educational Committee Meetings:

 Fourth Wednesday of the month @ 10:00 am.  Men & women interested in helping with the CWAM Education Programs are encouraged to attend the meetings.

◊Grange Library Meetings: First Friday of the month @ 1:00 pm.  Grange members meet in the meeting room in the Visitor’s Center.

◊Central Washington Travel Club:

 Second Saturday of the month. Visitor’s Meeting Room 11 am – 2 pm.  (November through April)  For more information contact Bill Knight @ 509.930.3473

APRIL 2014

◊April 1st       Opening Day of the Museum Buildings

◊April 3rd & 4th thru June 5th & 6th

CWAM Educational Programs & Field Trips for 3rd & 4th grade students: 

School Educational Tours & Field trips are offered each Thursday, April 3rd & each Friday, April 4th through Thursday, June 5th and Friday, June 6th.  There is a 9:30 am & a 12:30 pm session for each Thursday & Friday as listed.   You must complete an application form & reserve you requested School Educational Tour or Field Trip date in advance.  Please see Educational pages for more information.

S A T U R D A Y -  June 14th

  • OPEN TO THE PUBLIC – Maps are in the Information Booth

  • 7:30 am Parking  - Cars out of Park – Parking is in the field as you come into Fullbright Park 

  • 11 am – 4 pm – AG Tours – People Wagon Tours of Central Washington Agricultural Museum

  • 11am – 4 pm – Train Rides

  • 11 am – 5 pm – Kids Jumpers  

  • 8 am – 8 pm – 3 on 3 Soccer Tournament

  • 10 am – 8 pm – Food & Vendors

  • 9 am – Union Military Dress Parade

  • 10:30 am  - Confederate Dress Parade

  • 10 am – 11 am – Union Gap Old Town Days Parade

  • Parade Route begins at Main Street at 1st and travelling South to the Pepp’rmint Stick

  • 11:30 am -  Civil War Battle Reenactment 

  •  Hear the roar of the Cannons! See the flash of the bayonets!  See the clash of steel as the infantry fights for dominance of the field!

  • 12:30 pm - Union Medical Demo

  • 12:30 pm – 1 pm – Kids Games

  • 1 pm – Demos, living history in all camps – Fashion Show-Gazebo near Civilian Store

  • Tour Camps, see Living Historians, Engineers, Navy, Marines & Medical!

  • 2 pm – Small arms demonstration 3rd Michigan

  • 3 pm – Civil War Reenactment Battle

  • 4 pm – “Telegraph and Signal Corps Demo” at Federal HQ

  • 4:30 pm – CAV Demo

  • 5 pm – All Camps Closed

  • 6 pm – 8 pm – SAT ONLY – C O N C E R T – Featuring – “Stone Road”

  • 6:30 pm  - 8:30 pm – Civil War Era Dance & Pie Social (open to the public –  Victorian period dress suggested)  Live Music by “Gone Fiddlin’ Again” 

S U N D A Y  -  June 15th

 CWAM is at Central Washington State Fair Again this year

 See us at State Fair Park outside the Agricultural Building.  We will be showing videos, have demonstrations, and information about Central Washington Agricultural Museum.   Join us for some good relaxation time.

Museum Buildings are closed November through March. 

The rest of the Museum is still open to the public for walking & viewing from Dawn until Dusk. Volunteers continue to meet every Tuesday from 8 am - 3 pm in the Meeting Room of the Visitor’s Center.
